A storyteller

Katharina, daughter of a Bulgarian mother and an Austrian father, grew up between Vienna and New York. She studied Film and Literature at the University of Vienna and Acting under Ivana Chubbuck and "The Grounding" in Los Angeles. She studied dramatic writing at the Burgtheater, did journalism internships at the daily newspaper Der Standard and Radio Fritz and works as an actor and voiceover artist. In 2020/21 she was awarded the "Drehbuchwerkstatt" screenwriting fellowship at the University of Film and Television in Munich and is currently doing a Master's in Film Directing at the Hamburg Media School.

All of her work is united by a passion for storytelling. Her multicultural origins and her sense of humour flow into all her stories, as does her critical but benevolent view.

She works in German, English and French, currently between Berlin and Hamburg.
